I don't understand whether the first sentence is a statement or a question. Secondly, dissacharrides is a kind of polar compound therefore it can dissolve in water. |

Something than can dissolve in water may be or may not be an ion. Monosaccharides and alcohol can dissolve in water but they are not ion. |
