I don't understand whether the first sentence is a statement or a question.
Secondly, dissacharrides is a kind of polar compound therefore it can dissolve in water.

Something than can dissolve in water may be or may not be an ion. Monosaccharides and alcohol can dissolve in water but they are not ion.
