School Self-evaluation Project

Our school joined the "School Development through School Self-evaluation Project" from September 2002 to June 2003. The project was under the purview of the Quality Assurance Division of EMB with the School Based Management section in the lead role and working closely with the Inspection Section. The central aim of the project was to support and foster school development and improvement through a self-evaluation culture. The project team worked with around 20 schools, representatives of primary, secondary and special education, to promote a SSE framework which included the development and piloting of, for example, self-evaluation support materials for schools, guidelines for school development planning and reporting, and quality indicators for use in SSE (and linked to the performance indicators used in QAI).

Hong Kong Schools Self-evaluation Network (HKSSEN)

Our school has joined the HKSSEN since its founding in 2003. Mr. Archie McGlynn, who is well-known as an advisor to EDB and schools in Hong Kong, is the Network Director. The network is designed to support schools to move forward school development and accountability under the framework of school-based management - leading to systematic school self-evaluation (SSE).
