Lutheran College joined The Hong Kong Healthy School
Awards Scheme from September 2001 to August 2003. The Scheme was organized
by the Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion
- The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Throughout these
two years, ILC was developing to be a healthy school
in six different aspects such as Policy, Health Service,
Personal Health Skills, Social Environment, Community Relationship
and Physical Environment. We also won the Silver Award
in The Hong Kong Healthy School Awards Scheme in June 2003.
We got four distinctions and two credits, which showed
that ILC was given recognition and made achievements in
establishing a healthy school.
ILC has also participated actively in the Health Promoting Schools Project since 2000, and was awarded the Honarary School of this project on 5 July 2005. The Health Promoting School Project is co-organized by United Christian Nethersole Community Health Service, hospitals and schools in Tai Po and Kwun Tong districts. It aims at promoting health education in schools and advocates healthy lifestyle for students, teachers and parents.
